About Us

Building the Future of Maritime Connectivity

Coral Coast Shipping Lakshadweep LLP was co-established in 2025 as a dedicated greenfield enterprise aimed at filling a vital infrastructure void in the Government of India's maritime development program for Lakshadweep.

At the helm of Coral Coast Shipping is Captain Girish Lele, a seasoned Master Mariner with 22 years of sea service, including 9 years commanding Oil Tankers & OBOs. Holding an M.S. in Marine Management from Maine Maritime Academy, he has led fleet operations across Monaco, Europe, and West Africa, implemented Integrated Management Systems (ISM, ISO, OHSAS), and conducted OCIMF SIRE inspections for BP, ENI, and BHPB. His leadership in launching Starboard Nigeria Ltd highlights his expertise in strategic maritime operations and global logistics.

Supporting him is Captain Sudhir Subhedar, a veteran with 50+ years of experience in international and domestic shipping, holding key roles with the Government of India, IMO, Hong Kong, UK, Europe, and private shipping companies. He has also served as President of the Indian Coastal Conference and Director (Tech) at the Indian National Ship Owners Association.

The Technical department is headed by Manish Athaley, having an experience of 38 years including sea sevice & international ship management in senior technical positions in Hong Kong & Singapore with international private shipping companies.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

Safeguarding Lakshadweep’s Fragile Ecosystem

Coral bleaching, erosion, and ocean acidification endanger Lakshadweep's biodiversity, livelihoods, and natural defenses. The reefs are not just marine ecosystems—they support local tourism, fisheries, and act as natural coastal barriers. Protecting them ensures environmental and economic sustainability, supporting SDG 13 (Climate Action) & SDG 14 (Life Below Water).

OUR COMMITMENT TO GREEN MARITIME PRACTICES

Running at 85% MCR with LSHD fuel to cut CO₂ & NO₂.

Strict PMS for vessel sustainability.

Transitioning to solar shore power.

Real-time tracking for compliance.

Biocon II sewage treatment for responsible disposal.
